The Jigaree

We have been reading a shared story called The Jigaree. We have enjoyed it so much we decided to create our own Jigaree landscapes. We all worked really hard ripping and sticking the landscape.

Our Kindie Visit

As part of our commitment to our local community the children in Room 4 have been visited regularly by the children from Edukids Kindergarten. This week some of the children have paid the kindergarten a visit. They enjoyed
seeing where their new friends went to school.

Cultural Performances.

We have been learning about why people perform and what sort of things the do. We have watched dances from different cultures such as Maori, Samoan, Kiribati, Russian, Irish, Filipino  and Scottish. This afternoon we have been dressing our paper people in costumes from different cultures . We had to paint, cut and stick. We all concentrated really hard. Mrs Clarke was very proud of us.

Winter Sun Fun

Room 4 children enjoyed the beautiful sunshine this afternoon. They have been learning about the beauty of God's creations and today was a perfect example.

Luca and Joel were fearless as goal keepers in a classic game of whole school soccer.

Pito and Teresa had a workout on the monkey bars.

Teaioa enjoyed playing with some of her Room 6 friends in the boat.
