Pool Party

Thank you to the school council for organising a great pool party on Tuesday.  The sausages and ice cream were yummy.

Our Trip to the Navy Band.

Wow what an amazing day we all had on Friday in Napier.  We heard the fantastic Navy Band then got to walk through Napier looking at all the Art Deco patterns. We spotted triangles and zig zags. We also got to look at the wonderful old steam traction engines.

We all dressed up in Art Deco costumes and we looked Fabulous ! We were so tired on the way home some of us had to have a sleep.

Art Deco Helpers

We we really happy today when our buddies from Room 7 came to help us with our Art Deco Patterns. We have been learning about different shapes and this afternoon we looked at some Art Deco patterns to see if we could see any shapes we recognised. Our buddies from Room 7 helped us to trace the shapes we found. We had great fun learning new skills. Tracing around shapes is hard work!

Room 4 would like to welcome our newest classmate - Ann Maria.

Our View of the World

We are learning about how our world is always changing.  We drew some pictures of the world with our buddies.

Self Portraits

Today we began to paint our portraits. We thought hard about what colour our skin should be.

There was great excitement at lunch time when the first 14 of our new bikes arrived.

Drawing Portraits

Today we have been drawing self portraits. In our first go we missed lots of important things off our face like noses and ears. We had another go and did a much better job. We showed our work to each other.

Working together in our shop

We have been learning how to buy things from our shop. When we do this we have to work together and take turns. In Room 4 we are really good at taking turns.
