All is quiet in Room 4


This afternoon we have started to learn all about the Christmas story. We put together our nativity figures and began our Christmas pictures. After the last two busy weeks all was quiet in Room4  ...

Marine Safety

Room 4 was luck to have visitors on Friday. They came to talk to us about keeping ourselves safe in and around boats.  We learnt lots of safety tips and had a go on the boat.

Visit to the gallery

On Tuesday we visited the Hastings Art Gallery to view the contemporary Maori Exibition. We have an amazing time looking at the works and discussing our favourite pieces.

TERM 4

Term 4 is here already and we are all back to school with a bang. We're are learning ball skills and our teachers are our big brothers from St. John's College. We are having lots of fun.

Saving the boat

Room 4 wanted to play in the boat but all this rain left a problem. Never fear our young problem solvers sorted it out using the sand pit toys and a bit of extra muscle supplied by Father Simon.

Cornwall Park

What a beautiful day we had at Cornwell Park. We got to see lots of signs of Sping and we particularly enjoyed climbing the trees.

Changes over Time

As part of our New Beginnings topic we have been looking at changes over time. We have been watching our cherry trees, waiting for them to show us their blossom.  We are busy making winter trees and soon we will make a spring tree  with blossom.

Rainy Lunch Time

Rainy days give Room 4 a wonderful opportunity to engage in social play with each other and our amazing senior students.

Planting Seeds

As part of our topic we are learning about  why things grow in Spring. We have planted some sunflowers and will care for them as part of looking after God's creation.  He we are decorating our plant pots.

At lunch time some of the Room 4 girls were cooking up a feast in the sandpit. The menu included ice cream and chocolate hotdogs. Yummy.

Shared Mass with St. John's

Today we celebrated the feast of the Assumption with our big brothers from St. John's College.  It was amazing to celebrate this special feast with them and we really enjoyed singing with them.

A Spring Vistor.....

What a lovely surprise we had when Mrs Brady's mum brought in a lamb that she is rearing for us to have a look at.  We really enjoyed learning about this little lamb and wish to say a big thank you.
